Dongze Li, MSW
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and received trauma-focused training at Mount Sinai’s Emergency Department in NYC, specializing in supporting individuals affected by sexual violence, domestic violence, and intimate partner violence. I am deeply passionate about LGBTQ+ mental health. In addition to my clinical work, I have engaged in research on topics such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and Alzheimer’s. I am a lifetime member of Psi Chi and the British Psychological Society. Fluent in Mandarin, I am also learning Japanese and Spanish to better connect with diverse communities.
My ideal client is someone who feels weighed down by the effects of trauma, identity-related challenges, or struggles in their relationships. They might be seeking to heal from sexual or domestic violence or looking for support as an LGBTQ+ individual navigating societal stigma. Their goal is to rediscover their sense of self, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling and empowered life.
I provide trauma-informed therapy rooted in psychodynamic, CBT, and DBT approaches. I focus on helping clients process their experiences, develop emotional regulation, and build inner strength in a compassionate, affirming environment.
Your story matters, and healing is within reach. Whether you’re working through trauma, addressing identity challenges, or seeking clarity in your emotions, I am here to support you in piecing together the puzzle of your life—fitting each experience, emotion, and challenge into a clearer picture of who you are. Together, we can create a path toward growth, understanding, and a life that reflects your authentic self.
