Heather is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a specialized certification in neuroscience. She has over 10 years of experience caring for children with complex medical and behavioral needs. She earned her BSN in 2014 from MCPHS University and obtained her master’s in nursing in 2019 from Regis College with a focus in pediatrics. At the start of her career, she worked in primary care and home care, supporting children and families during their most vulnerable times. She then went on to be an NP at a world-renowned children’s hospital in the inpatient Neuroscience unit. Heather is also a mother to three young boys.
Heather’s ideal client(s) is in their toddler, school age, or adolescent years and may be facing challenges including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, coping with death/loss of a family member, separation anxiety, or challenges with bullying. Their needs and goals may include but are not limited to improving their ability to function to their best capability, maintain and create positive relationships/friendships, excel in school, cope and heal from prior trauma. These clients would likely be interested in a combination approach with therapy and medication management.
Heather’s background in pediatric neurology, primary care, and home care, offer a wide range of experience for treating children with behavioral health needs. Her approach includes taking the time to get to know your child and meeting them where they are at. She incorporates developmentally age-appropriate care and takes a holistic perspective
