Kate Polk is a licensed mental health counselor in Florida (LMHC), Maine (LCPC), and Colorado (LPC), and is certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional II (CCTP-II). She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in 1999 and her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Wake Forest University in 2018. After receiving an active duty Army commission following her undergraduate studies, Kate served for 8 years in the military and remains dedicated to helping others achieve their healthiest selves.
Kate’s ideal clients are individuals who feel they are not living their best lives and are seeking a path to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. She works with those who may be uncertain about the change process but are open to therapy and interventions for personal growth.
Kate’s professional passion is helping others achieve their best and healthiest sense of self. She practices from a Person-Centered perspective, with expertise in trauma (adult and childhood), PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief, life stage challenges, self-esteem issues, and substance use disorders and addictions. She has experience working with individuals aged 18-65+, especially veterans, first responders, and their families.
Kate is committed to listening to and understanding each client’s personal history, hopes, and goals, and looks forward to helping clients gain self-love, acceptance, and peace for growth in mind, body, and spirit.
